I should mention that I'm giving the book top marks before reading it. You see, for me, John Dickson Carr/Carter Dickson is not only the most brilliant deviser and explainer of apparently impossible mysteries, he's always compulsively readable. "The Unexpected Instinct" will certainly live up to my expectations!

The stories are as wonderful as I remember his later works were. The design was excellent as usual, like many of Crippen & Landru titles.
Rare early writings from Carr interspersed with equally fascinating background and analysis by Dan Napolitano. Highly recommended.
